Cookies and storage
Last updated 1 October 2026.
We only use advertising or tracking cookies if you allow them. We don't use any at the moment. Everything below is strictly necessary for a service you've asked for, except analytics, advertising and affiliate tracking, which are used only if you allow them. Change your analytics choice at any time from Privacy choices in the footer.
Website
| What | Type | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
Sign-in (sb-…-auth-token, and sb-…-code-verifier while you're signing in) | Cookies | Keep you signed in and complete a sign-in you started | Until you sign out, or 400 days after you last used the site |
| Your analytics choice | Browser storage | Remember whether you allowed analytics | Until you change it or clear your browser's site data |
| Notification details (an installation ID, the browser's push subscription, our reference for this browser and the account it's registered to, and whether we've shown the Home Screen tip) | Browser storage | Deliver notifications you've turned on, once per browser | Until you clear your browser's site data. Signing out stops notifications to that browser |
| Temporary items (an alert you started before signing in, your analytics choice while you sign in, the last page you viewed so we can return you there after checkout) | Session storage | Finish what you were doing after signing in or paying | Until you close the tab |
| PostHog analytics identity, settings and recordings | Browser storage | Analytics, session recordings and heatmaps | Only if you allow analytics; stopped when you withdraw |
| Advertising and campaign measurement (for example Google, Meta or TikTok pixels) | Cookies and similar | Measure our ads, show our ads to past visitors, and personalise any ads shown in FindMeStock | Only if you allow advertising; none at the moment |
| Affiliate tracking (set by the affiliate network, e.g. Awin or Skimlinks, when you follow a Buy link) | Cookies | Record that a purchase came from FindMeStock so the retailer can pay us commission | Only if you allow affiliate tracking; none at the moment |
The website also installs a small background script (a service worker) that only receives and shows notifications.
Apps
The apps keep your sign-in session (encrypted, with its key in your device's secure storage), your analytics choice, a notification installation ID, a local copy of your subscription status kept by RevenueCat's software, any error report waiting to be sent, and, only if you allow analytics, PostHog's identity and queued events. Signing out removes your session and notification registration.
Other sites
Retailers, and affiliate networks a Buy link passes through, set their own cookies under their own policies.
